Kansas City Ballet

Ballet enthusiasts and casual fans alike delight in the performances of Kansas City Ballet. The 30-member professional ballet company performs four yearly productions in Muriel Kauffman Theatre.

The theater is designed to provide audiences with the best possible live experience with excellent sightlines and acoustics. Every December, thousands of families flock to our magnificent venue to witness the much-anticipated annual performance of The Nutcracker.

Lyric Opera of Kansas City

Founded in 1958, Lyric Opera of Kansas City is one of the nation’s premier regional opera companies. Selections encompass original-language performances of standard repertory as well as contemporary and American operas.

Audiences are awestruck by the classic and contemporary operas performed in Muriel Kauffman Theatre, due to its advancements in architecture and acoustics.

Kansas City Symphony

The Kansas City Symphony is the region’s only full-time professional symphony orchestra, setting the standard for artistic excellence. Led by Music Director Matthias Pintscher, the Symphony is one of America’s top orchestras.

The Symphony’s 80 full-time musicians are area residents and perform during a 42-week season. The KC Symphony season includes 14 programs on its Classical Series, a Pops Series, Family Series, free Happy Hour concerts, and a variety of special presentations, educational, and community concerts.
